Artist Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The miniature was modified to have its hatchet in a raised position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jump jet plumes were primed black, then painted with a progression of greens via the airbrush, with darkest at the bottom and lightest towards the top. Pro Acryl Dark Jade -> Green -> Bright Green -> Vallejo Game Color Livery Green. Then I mixed some Pro Acryl Newsh with some of the livery green, and covered the plumes, wiping it away from the raised areas, leaving bright green in the crevices of the smoke as if light is glowing from within. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mech was primed grey. I airbrushed Payne’s Grey ink from below to set shadows, then zenithaled Pro Acryl Dark Ivory -> Ivory -> Bright Ivory. I then taped off the head area, put down some tamiya tape for a stripe, and airbrushed Pro Acryl Burnt Red -> Bold Pyrrole Red. The mech then got an enamel wash with Mr. Hobby Mr. Weathering Color Multi Black, before being cleaned up with white spirits. When dry, the white got edge highlights with Bright Ivory, the Red with Orange Red and then Orange. The hatchet handle was Burnt Red -> Bold Pyrrole Red -> Orange Red -> Orange. The business end was Payne’s Grey paint from Pro Acryl, with rough edge highlights with Transparent White, then glazed back with Payne’s Grey ink. Metals are Vallejo Metal Color Steel and Silver. Medium Lasers are Bolt Titanium White glazed with Transparent Green. Gentle OSL with Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
