Lyran Commonwealth

The Lyran Commonwealth was founded in 2341 and would go on to be one of the member states of the Star League. Following the Star League Civil War, the Commonwealth was one of the five Successor States fighting for control of the Inner Sphere.

In the 3020s, the Lyran Commonwealth began the process of joining with the Federated Suns in order to become part of the Federated Commonwealth. That union was short-lived though, and in 3057, the renamed Lyran Alliance broke away from the Federated Commonwealth. A civil war that raged from 3062 through 3067 cemented the separation, and decades later, the nation returned to using its original name.
