Artist Notes
This is based on the new art from one of the Shrapnel articles. The new image does a great job of modernizing the art by removing that weird beak cockpit and resizing the weapons. Torso and feet came from IWM’s new Savage Wolf/Mad Cat Mk4 metal mini. (Release date is September.) I had to saw through the shoulder launcher mounts, which was a pain, and remove the waist. The legs and side torsos came from a CGL plastic Ebon Jaguar. Right arm came from IWM’s Crucible mini. Left Arm came from IWM’s original Jinggau mini. Finally, the sensor suite is the hip cap and toe of a CGL plastic Timber Wolf.
Paint was Army Painter (AP) white primer, followed by AP Fanatic Ancient Stone. A diluted AP Soft Tone Wash was applied and a dry brush of Ancient Stone followed. The green accents were AP Army Painter and the gold was AP Greedy Gold. Joints and barrels were a mixture of Vallejo’s Airbrush Color’s Steel and AP Gun Metal.
