Scheme Reference
The parade colors of the Federated Commonwealth Corps are navy blue with gold banding on the arms and legs. Gold is also used on the upper torso of ‘Mechs and the turrets of armor units to highlight panels, resulting in a checkerboard pattern.

Artist Notes
For my Federated Commonwealth Corps, I ignored the canon scheme description’s mention of a checkerboard pattern and instead simplified it to blue with gold accents. I’m also a fan of MechCommander, so my interpretation was also inspired by the color scheme used for the Davion Guards in that game.
For the blue, I painted the miniature with Altdorf Guard Blue. Then I washed it with Nuln Oil. After the wash, I re-layered the raised panels with Altdorf Guard Blue and then added edge highlights with Calgar Blue.
For the gold, I started with Retributor Armour. I used a wash of Reikland Fleshshade. After the wash, I highlighted them with more Retributor Armour and some Stormhost Silver.
All of the paints that I used are from Games Workshop’s Citadel Colour line.
